The cemetery of Quba

The central cemetery of Krasnaya Sloboda: 1,102 inscriptions read from the stones, from 1807 to 2025, and the ohel of Rabbi Gershon Mizrahi.

The museum keeps a catalogue of the central cemetery of Krasnaya Sloboda (Qırmızı Qəsəbə): 1,102 records with the names, the Hebrew inscriptions and the years, read directly from the stones.

The earliest dated stone is from 1807, the latest from 2025. The full list of the cemetery numbers 1,194 monuments; the remaining 92 have not been transcribed yet, and the museum says so openly instead of filling the gaps.

Beside the catalogue stands the ohel of Rabbi Gershon Mizrahi, a place of pilgrimage. Every grave has its own page, and the family names are gathered into an index of 223 surnames.
